Santa Fe Lights are designed by ceramic artists Frank Willett and Louise Baldinger and have been produced in their studio in Santa Fe for over 25 years. Between them they bring over fifty years of combined experience as designer-craftspeople, producing light fixtures that reflect their concern with function, graceful and understated form, and quality craftsmenship.

Santa Fe Lights are designed to coordinate with and enchance the typical Southwestern Pueblo and Territorial architectural styles. The graceful simplicity of these fixtures lends itself equally well to varied contemporary styles of architecture.

The natural stoneware clay surface reflects the handmade feel of adobe. The indirect light cast from these fixtures is soft and subtle, accented by the patterned light from the pierced holes used as a border treatement.

Santa Fe Lights have been used by some of the Southwest's most prominent architects and builders and are found on numerous public and private buildings and homes throughout the region and the rest of the country.

Santa Fe Lights are made of high-fired stoneware clay, and unlike Terra Cotta, are vitreous and impervious to harsh weather conditions. They will withstand freezing temperatures, snow, rain, and wind. Our stoneware clay produces a tough, sturdy fixture that resists breakage and will not fade in bright sunlight. Santa Fe Lights are appropriate for either indoor or outdoor application.

Santa Fe Lights are UL listed and fitted with the best quality electrical components available. All fixtures are designed to mount on standard electrical boxes. Mounting hardware and installation instructions are included with each light.

Santa Fe Lights are available in two natural clay colors, Adobe tan and Off-white. Variations in color and surface are inherent in the handmade process and enhance the character of each piece. If a close color match is desired, the fired clay surface lends itself easily to a stucco coat or to paint. We recommend a good quality outdoor latex paint.
